
The following states require continuing education for engineers. The
five (5) states "in bold" below require course pre-approval. the ones with asterisks have regulations pending.

The states above "not in bold" have no formal approval process and NEPC
courses are guaranteed to be accepted by said states. If any state
refuses to grant credit for any course, your course fee will be
refunded in full. As for the bolded states, These are addressed individually below.
At this point in time, NEPC has not actively pursued course approvals
for architects in various states. At the present time however, NEPC is
an approved continuing education provider in New York and the law
states that any course offering by such a provider meeting the
technical requirements for course work is acceptable towards continuing
education requirements for architects.

NEPC is a Sponsoring Member of the Practicing Institute
of Engineering (PIE) and thereby authorized to provide New York State
approved continuing professional competency (CPC) / continuing
education (CE) courses. Said courses are acceptable for credit toward
CPC requirements for both architects and engineers with New York State licenses. See the following url's for further information

14. What is acceptable continuing education?
Acceptable continuing education includes
courses and
educational activities.
Courses: A minimum of 18 hours of
continuing education must
be completed in courses for professional engineers and a minimum
of 16 hours of continuing education must be completed in courses
for land surveyors. All 36 hours for professional engineers or 24
hours for land surveyors may be completed through acceptable
courses. Educational Activities: A maximum
of 18 hours may be in
educational activities for professional engineers and a
maximum
of 8 hours may be in educational activities for land
surveyors.
16. What are acceptable continuing
educational activities
other than courses?
Acceptable continuing educational activities
include:
Completing self-study program. Self-study
must be taken from
an approved provider and in an acceptable subject
area and be structured study that is based on audio,
audio-visual, written, online, or other media, and does not meet
the criteria established for live instruction described in
question 15. In addition, a self-study program must have a
testing instrument, which is completed by the licensee and
returned to the sponsor for scoring. A passing grade is required
before a sponsor may award continuing education credit.

NEPC is currently pursuing approval as a Continuing Education Sponsor in the State of Arkansas.

NEPC is currently pursuing approval as a Continuing Education provider in the State of Louisiana.
